Every person in the book Of Mice and Men can be compared to people in today's society. Their personality can be related to someone that we know. For instance Curley could be the neighborhood trouble maker that goes around causes trouble. Every character can do this. Lennie can be associated with the people and kids with mental set backs and have trouble learning or understanding. George is the person who helps and tries to work hard for he wants such as the guy that goes and tills everyone else's garden, mows their lawns, does their yard work, and every else that he make a buck from. Crook is the person who no one looks or listens to. He's the guy who sits in his house and you never see. The person who everyone looks up to and every likes would be Slim. Candy fits in as the old retired folk that helps were he can such as the people at the grocery store that carry out your bags.
The rest of the workers in the book are the people that make our city tick. They make it run smoothly and work hard to keep that way. Examples would be everyday folks that go to work every day, the people that work at the gas station, the grocery store, firefighters, police, doctors, and etc. The author does this so that the reader can relate to the story and helps them understand the feelings of the characters.
